Telehealth & Office Visits Are Not For Emergencies!

If you or someone near you is experiencing a life-threatening emergency — such as chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, severe bleeding, or loss of consciousness, etc... — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away. Do not wait for a telehealth appointment. Our telehealth services are for non-emergency care only.

WoodSparg Telehealth Visit

A WoodardSparg a telehealth visit is a secure, real-time video encounter with our Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for those patients needing telehealth services in Arkansas. You connect from your phone, tablet, or computer and speak face-to-face with your provider for identified services that are safely managed by video. Telehealth is not a phone call, an email exchange, a text message, or an online form. Telehealth is a live, interactive video appointment in which your APRN can see you, obtain a detailed account of your complaint, and guide your care.

You Must Be Located in Arkansas
Arkansas law requires that you be physically located within the state at the time of your telehealth visit. Our APRN holds an active Arkansas family nurse practitioner license and is authorized to provide care to patients who are present in Arkansas during the encounter.

How a Provider-Patient Relationship Is Established
Submitting a medical history form via email, leaving voicemails, or exchanging text messages with our office does not establish a provider-patient relationship, nor does it constitute a telehealth encounter. A valid provider-patient relationship is established exclusively through a proper clinical evaluation conducted during a live, real-time video encounter with our licensed APRN.

Standard of Care
Telehealth services at our clinic are held to the same standard of clinical care as traditional in-person encounters. Your APRN will obtain a thorough history of your presenting complaint, take responsibility for your care if treatment is provided, and arrange or recommend appropriate follow-up care when indicated.

Required Intake Through Our Secure Portal
Before the start of your appointment, you will be required to complete and submit all necessary medical documentation through our secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) portal. Do not submit medical history, health information, or any clinical documentation via email, phone message, or text message. All required information must be collected exclusively through the secure EMR portal. A link to the portal will be provided following booking confirmation.

Transparency: Provider Identity and Financial Responsibility:
WoodSparg telehealth care is provided by a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Arkansas. In keeping with Arkansas telemedicine requirements, you will have access to your APRN's full name, Arkansas licensure information, and board certifications before your visit begins. A clear summary of your financial responsibility as a self-pay patient is also available in advance of your encounter.

Informed Consent:
At the start of your visit, your APRN will explain the telehealth process, its clinical benefits and limitations, and your available care options. Your informed consent to receive care via telehealth will be obtained and documented before care is delivered.

Medical Records
A documented medical record of your encounter will be maintained. Upon request, you may receive an electronic copy sent via encrypted email.

Prescribing and Controlled Substances

When clinically appropriate and permitted under Arkansas law, your APRN may prescribe medication. Please be aware that, under Arkansas telemedicine rules, our APRN cannot prescribe controlled substances. Any controlled medication including testosterone will require an office visit.

When In-Person or Emergency Care Is Needed
Some conditions cannot be safely diagnosed or treated via video. If your APRN determines that an in-person evaluation is necessary, they will arrange to see you in the office, direct you to an appropriate provider, or issue a referral — and that recommendation will be documented in your medical record. If you are experiencing a medical emergency at any time, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Telehealth visits are not for emergencies.

As a self-pay clinic, we keep your costs straightforward and your care patient-centered — whether you see us on screen or in person.

Your Telehealth Booking Checklist

Getting ready for your telehealth visit is easy. Just follow these steps, and you'll be all set for your appointment.

1. Book Your Appointment

  • Schedule your telehealth visit with our clinic.

2. Watch for Your Portal Link
Look for a secure portal link sent to you by text message or email after your booking is confirmed.

3. Complete Your Medical Documentation

  • Fill out and submit all required forms through our secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) portal.
  • Do not send any medical history or health information by email, phone message, or text. All information must go through the secure EMR portal only.

4. Confirm Your Location
  • Make sure you'll be physically located in Arkansas at the time of your appointment. Our clinicians are licensed to care for patients in Arkansas, so you must be in the state during your visit.

5. Get Your Device Ready

  • After booking, you'll receive a secure link by text message or email. Simply tap or click the link to access the patient portal and complete any remaining steps before your visit.
  • Have a phone, tablet, or computer ready for your live video call.
  • Check that your camera, microphone, and internet connection are working before your appointment time.
  • Find a quiet, private space where you can speak comfortably with your clinician.

6. Know What to Expect

  • Understand that your provider-patient relationship is established during the live video call, not by filling out forms, sending an email, or texting our office.
  • Be ready to talk face-to-face with your clinician, share your concerns, and ask questions.

Once everything above is checked off, you're ready for your visit. If you have any questions before your appointment, reach out to our office, and we'll be happy to help.
